SAG Awards 2014: Best dressed ladies!

We have quickly moved on from the fashion of the Critics’ Choice Awards to the new hot ticket of the week: the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and along with this hot ticket we have gained a whole new batch of dresses to feast our eyes on!

For the 2nd time in a row the up-and-coming Lupita Nyong’o has won my best dressed wearing an eye-catching aqua, fitted dress with stunningly intricate details across the top of the dress. This, matched with her perfectly understated hint of gold accessories, which can also be seen in the neck detail of the dress, leads to Lupita being a clear winner for me!

What’s interesting is that not only did Lupita beat out Jennifer Lawrence for ‘Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role’ thus putting an end to Lawrence’s winning streak, but in my opinion, also pipped Lawrence for best dressed of the night.

Jennifer can be seen here wearing a beautiful, strapless, sequined, floor-length dress with again, perfect accessories! The bejeweled earrings with the lack of a neck-piece adds to an optimum amount of accessories for this statement dress.Image

Finally, one more lady who impressed me on the night is ‘Game of Thrones’ actress Carice Van Houten, who went for a younger, sexy, smoldering look on the night. (Can’t say I agree on the shoe choice though…!)
