Chanel Haute Couture 2014 Spring Collection Review.

I have to say I am absolutely LOVING the Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2014 collection! The use of pastels, the ice-skater-esque designs, the hints of colour and the fun, flirty, mod garments (and styling) – everything just makes for a wonderful collection. Even the hair and make-up is perfection from tied back hair with a wild finish in the back paired with statement eyes in coloured sequined stones to effortlessly slicked back hair with minimal make-up, both finishing off each style that they were paired with with ease. The designs tend to highlight the models’ middles and give a lovely hourglass shape, thus not only being stylish, but proving to be flattering also. Another stand-out part of the collection that I loved was the athletic footwear which brought a new dimension to the show along with an understated impact. Pictured below are some of my favourites from the show beginning with a nod to the mod styles presented, along with the pastel colour palette, continuing to the frosted frocks and ending with 2 beautiful pieces: a transparent, crystallized jumpsuit (my favourite look) and a sharp, funky, slightly punk cocktail dress.
